New York OTB guide
New York is why the phrase off-track betting still means something. The regional OTB corporations — Capital, Nassau, Suffolk, Western, and the others — put parlors in cities that never had a grandstand. Restaurant EZ Bet partners stay out. Catskill OTB ceased taking bets in late 2024, so we do not invent those rooms. NYRA's Belmont and Saratoga remain the live thoroughbred spine; Aqueduct's final live day was June 28, 2026, and that plant is now permanently closed. Empire City at Yonkers, Finger Lakes, Batavia, Vernon, Tioga, and Monticello keep upstate and suburban horseplayers in a room with tellers and a coffee pot. If you are used to a sportsbook app, an OTB parlor feels older on purpose: you are there for the races, not a prop bet on a kickoff. This site maps those rooms and tracks. It is not a harness-only magazine, and it is not a retail sportsbook finder.
New York OTB parlors and NYRA tracks are separately operated. Hours and takeout vary by region.
